ECD Profile Management

ECD Profile Management allows Department of Basic Education officials to manage the profiles of registered ECD programmes, including the profiles of staff and children. This important release is the foundation of a reliable, data-driven approach to ECD management in South Africa.

ECD Profile Management introduces new functionalities such as displaying and editing early learning programme information, creating and updating annual enrolment registers, and managing child and staff profiles. 

DBE officials will be able to view and edit records based on their roles, access functions, and location data.

The data in ECD Profile Management comes from a range of sources, including the Census 2021, and provincial ECD masterlists and funding lists. All the data has been reviewed and approved by each provincial education department.

Real-time updates through desktop or mobile devices improving data quality and accurateness of reports.
